Friday Ferial Favorites // List 001
Welcome to the very first installment of Ferial’s Favorites on Fridays! A little corner of the inter-webs for me to spotlight a few things that I’m loving. I’ve always enjoyed recommending products, podcasts, music, tools, and tips, so here’s a place for me to do it regularly. ☺️
Today’s list of favorites includes: computer glasses, the Revisionist History podcast, Klean Kanteen insulated water bottle, and a recipe for slow-cooker pumpkin curry.
Computer glasses: When I started my IT job last fall, I didn’t realize how much staring at electronic screens would affect my eyes. I found that my eyes became red and dry very quickly. I heard about computer glasses from a friend at church and immediately looked into them. Turns out there are very affordable pairs on Amazon, and they’re pretty cute too! And I have really found that they have helped my eyes remain in good shape despite all of the screen-staring.
Revisionist History Podcast: This is my absolute favorite podcast at the moment. I have really gotten into podcasts over the last year, especially since I have a bit of a commute now. Nothing helps you stay in traffic like getting your mind engaged in a good story. And Malcom Gladwell brings so many cool stories to this podcast! I especially love the different angles he finds on these stories and the passion with which he tells them. Highly recommend this show!
Klean Kanteen Insulated Bottle: I have been a Klean Kanteen fan for the last few years. The very best things about this water bottle are (1) that it is leak-proof! I can just throw this puppy into my bag and not worry about it spilling all over my belongings. And (2) it is insulated! My ice water stays ice water for 8+ hours and hot drinks will stay hot for days. Not to mention it’s stainless steel and super durable.
Pumpkin Curry: I love a good crockpot meal, and this is a great crockpot meal. It’s so wonderful to come home to dinner already cooked and waiting for you, and because we have a large crockpot I can double up on recipes and have multiple meals made in one go. This recipe is delicious and very simple. I recommend heating up the coconut milk, pumpkin, chicken stock, and seasonings so that they all mix well together before pouring over the chicken and veggies in the crockpot. Also, adding Sriracha, lime, and cilantro on top is SO GOOD.
That’s it for this week’s favorites! Stay tuned for more of Ferial’s favorites next week. 😆
