Friday Ferial Favorites // List 005

Welcome to Ferial’s Favorites on Fridays! A little corner of the inter-webs for me to spotlight a few things that I’m loving. I’ve always enjoyed recommending products, podcasts, music, tools, and tips, so here’s a place for me to do it regularly. ☺️

Today’s list of favorites includes: a Timbuk2 tote bag, Essie matte top coat, Orgain protein shake powder, and Kicking Horse coffee!

  1. Timbuk2’s Hyde Tote Bag: I got this tote bag early this year as an upgrade to my work bag. This is a favorites post, so there’s no need to tell you that I love this bag. But, I seriously loooove this bag. It really does have it all. It is a big bag, but when you carry a tote you do want it a good size. For work and for travel, this bag is perfect. Just the right amount of pockets, all the right size, for perfect organization. Lightweight, with durable and comfortable straps--this bag can be worn on the shoulder or with the crossbody strap. Everyday I easily and comfortably carry my 13” laptop, tablet, Bullet Journal, water bottle, wireless headphones, and a few smaller pouches. There’s plenty of room in the bag for snacks, a scarf, and another book. I really can’t speak highly enough of this bag--AND, Timbuk2 is a San Francisco company!
  2. Essie’s “Matte About You” Top Coat: This top coat is fantastic as it covers any nail polish you choose and makes it a wonderful, sophisticated, flat matte. It doesn’t change the color at all, but just turns down the shine--and I’ve always liked matte finishes over gloss. It also dries very quickly, which is a big plus for me.
  3. Orgain Organic Plant-Based Protein Powder: I make this protein shake every morning to ensure that I’m getting the protein I need, especially at the beginning of the day. I have never been a fan of protein shakes due to the chalky taste, but this stuff is super good! I use cold almond milk, add a dash of salt and some generous shakes of cinnamon to their Sweet Vanilla flavored powder and it tastes like horchata! I also really appreciate that this protein powder is plant-based protein, organic, and sugar, dairy, and gluten-free!
  4. Kicking Horse’s Three Sisters Coffee: It must be admitted that John and I are “coffee snobs”, so prepare yourself for the fancy coffee review: this coffee is da bomb. Organic, fair trade, roasted in Canada, and absolutely delicious. It is a medium-roast blend that we hand grind and put through our French press. It is our absolute favorite every-morning kind of coffee. ☕️

That’s it for this week’s favorites! Stay tuned for more of Ferial’s faves next week. 😆
