Christmas Ornament #Tramdition

Christmas Ornament #Tramdition

John and I started a tradition #tramdition 3 years ago in the effort to create affordable and unique Christmas decorations. We landed on a tradition that we just love; it accomplishes our budget-friendly decor while also creating space for us to make memories and be creative--all the wins!

Enter salt dough ornaments. We get our recipe for the ornaments HERE and it is so simple:

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 cup salt

  • 1 cup water

  • Bake for 3 hours at 250F

We have so much fun making our ornaments each year. We use different sized glasses to get different sized ornaments and use a straw to poke the holes for the baker's twine. We use sharpie markers for our decorating, but paint would also work well! At the end of the Christmas season, we'll pick a few of our favorites and I will seal them with Mod Podge so that they last through the years.
