The Week We Ate Everything or The Trams Go To Lebanon
It's been a tad bit quiet around these parts the last week or so, and that's because we were all the way on the other side of the world!
John and I had the amazing privilege of traveling with my Dad to Tripoli, Lebanon to visit my Dad's side of the family. Words fail me on this trip, you guys. Think of every positive adjective and that might come close to summing it up. might come close to summing it up.
At the very heart of the trip was my family. The last time I was in Lebanon was when I was 8 years old. I have seen some of my family members since then, but still not since I was 15. Connecting with my loved ones as an adult was an incredible experience. This was also the first time for them to all meet John! The love that was showered on us by my family was so thick and tangible.
I hope to tell many more tales of our trip in the future, but for now, you can check out the re-cap video I put together below!
Fun fact: the singer of the song I used in the video, Ragheb Alama, is one of Lebanon's most famous singers, and many people think he looks like my Dad. :)
